1. What are the major challenges being faced by SMEs today?
The two trends that are permeating the IC design industry
continue unabashed: growth in hardware complexity of SOC
designs, now reaching into the 100+ million ASIC-equivalent
gates, and growth in embedded software, now offsetting the
cost of designing the hardware in average by a factor of
2-to-1. Both trends conjure to make design verification the
most time consuming and costly proposition of the entire SOC
design development cycle.
2. How do established players affect the future of SMEs?
By proving better and better tools to solve the challenging
tasks of the IC designing process.
3. What can SMEs do to increase their market
SMEs should set the objective of becoming the leading design
houses in design and verification of IC chips. Investing in
the best technologies and outstanding training would be
mandatory to achieve the goal.
4. What part does India play in the overall strategy of
EVE considers India a critical region for IC design
verification. More and more leading companies are moving their
design and verification tasks to India and EVE wants to play a
pivotal role in this emerging country. Our goal is to be
considered the mandatory choice for
hardware-assisted design verification for hardware and
